Mike Norvell and his coaching staff have done an exceptional job at hitting the transfer portal over the last couple of years, thus building his Seminoles into yet again the powerhouse they are meant to be. Sure, in his first two years, he wasn’t overly successful and some fans were calling for his head. But last season seemed to shift a different attitude by the fans, and media alike after the Seminoles finished 10-3 and 5-3 in the ACC.
The biggest moment for the Seminoles was in their first game of the year against LSU when the Noles won thanks to a blocked extra point to seal the victory over the Tigers, 24-23. In their three ACC losses to Wake Forest, NC State, and Clemson, the Seminoles could have won all three and ended the season with a much better record and potentially a possible playoff birth.
This is the make-and-break year for Norvell. This is the year that the Seminoles, with a healthy quarterback in Jordan Travis who is expected to be in the Heisman race conversation, will lead the Noles to its ultimate destination in 2023.
Florida State 2023 season prediction:
- LSU – W
- Southern Miss – W
- Boston College – W
- Clemson – L
- Virginia Tech – W
- Syracuse – W
- Duke – W
- Wake Forest – W
- Pitt – W
- Miami – W
- North Alabama – W
- Florida – W
There are a couple of games on the Seminole’s schedule that could potentially be ‘trap games’ and it is the stretch from Duke to Miami and of course that Florida game. Any of those four games can go either way, but if the Noles are healthy then they will have a very successful season, including a potential playoff birth.
