Last Week – 14
Well Virginia didn’t lose to William & Mary, so that’s a start. The get a BYE week before going to North Carolina.
13. Pittsburgh (1-4, 0-2)
Last Week – 11
Pittsburgh hosts red-hot Louisville. If Pittsburgh is going to salvage it’s season, it better start now.
12. Virginia Tech (2-4, 1-1)
Last Week – 11
Virginia Tech hung in there with FSU for awhile. If they can get by Wake Forest, it gives Virginia Tech a shot at a bowl.
11. Boston College (3-3, 1-2)
Last Week – 10
Boston College is on a modest 2 game winning streak to even their record at 3-3. They get an extra week to prepare for a game at Georgia Tech.
10. Wake Forest (3-2, 0-2)
Last Week – 9
Wake Forest had some chances against Clemson, but just couldn’t get over the hump. The game with Virginia Tech is could be a turning point one way or the other.
9. Syracuse (4-2, 0-2)
Last Week – 7
Syracuse is in the midst of brutal stretch of Clemson, UNC, and now Florida State. Oh that’s rough.
8. Georgia Tech (3-3, 2-1)
Last Week – 12
Georgia Tech pulled off an absolute miracle at Miami, and it may have saved their season. They get to enjoy it with a BYE week before facing Boston College.
7. NC State (4-2, 1-1)
Last Week – 8
NC State showed some offensive life against Marshall scoring 48 points in a win, but what happened with the defense? A game at Duke is very interesting.
6. Miami (4-1, 1-1)
Last Week – 3
When I said last week that that the Miami/Georgia Tech could real ugly, I didn’t know it would refer Mario Cristobal’s end game coaching decisions. Now they head to UNC to play a very good Tar Heel team.
5. Clemson (4-2, 2-2)
Last Week – 6
Clemson didn’t play as well as I expected against Wake Forest, but a win is a win. They need to clean things up during their BYE week for the stretch run.
4. Duke (4-1, 1-0)
Last Week – 4
What is the status of Riley Leonard? That’s the biggest question in Durham before Duke’s game with NC State.
3. Louisville (6-0, 3-0)
Last Week – 5
What a performance by Louisville against Notre Dame on Saturday night. Louisville isn’t sneaking up on anyone anymore. Can they follow up their Notre Dame win by beating Pitt on the road?
2. North Carolina (5-0, 2-0)
Last Week – 2
North Carolina is rolling. They dominated Syracuse, and now host a desperate Miami team that is likely still in shock after the way they lost to Georgia Tech.
1. Florida State (5-0, 3-0)
Last Week – 1
You have to love Florida State’s chances to get to 6-0 with Syracuse coming to Doak Campbell.
