The ACC’s three biggest questions of Bowl Season.

How much of a difference will Cade Klubnik make for Clemson against Tennessee?

Did you see the ACCCG game? Sure UNC’s defense isn’t great, but Tennessee’s defense got lit up several times this year too. Klubnik has that it factor, and I expect Clemson to be able to move the ball in a way we rarely saw with DJ Uiagalelei. I thought Clemson had almost no chance to beat any of their potential Orange Bowls opponents. Some in the media say Klubnik makes Clemson a top 5 team. We’ll see, but this game is a lot more intriguing with Klubnik back there.

Will Florida State win their 10th game?

This is the ACC’s biggest lock. Oklahoma comes in at 6-6 losers of three of the last four in a disaster of a season for first-year coach Brent Venables. Florida State is one of the country’s hottest teams and comes in with a ton of momentum. The bowl game is in Orlando, Florida too. FSU QB Jordan Travis against that swiss cheese defense? Florida State may not only win, but they may also just beat the daylights out of the Sooners.

What’s a successful ACC Bowl Season?

The last time the ACC was .500 or better during bowl season was in 2018. People say bowls don’t count until they start counting the records. Clemson winning the Orange Bowl would be huge for the conference. If Oklahoma were to knock off heavy favorite Florida State that would be a bad look for the ACC. Anything at or over .500 would constitute a success though. The ACC had some good moments this year, but not enough to affect many of the negative narratives. A good bowl season would help that for sure.
