It seems Georgia Tech’s football head coaching is down to two guys that have split the Jacket fanbase Coastal Carolina’s Jamey Chadwell and interim coach Brent Key.
Honestly, I’m completely on the fence here, so lets have a little tale of the tape.
Jamey Chadwell
Pros
Navigated Coastal Carolina as they became a FBS school.
Won at least 10 games everywhere he’s coached for at least 3 years, with 99-55 Record as a Head Coach
Innovative – High-Powered Offense
2020 AP Coach of the Year of the Year
Clean Slate at Georgia Tech, no ties to Collins era
Cons
Never Coached at the P5 level in any capacity
Will spread-option offense translate to P5 level?
Brent Key
Pros
4-3 as interim coach with 2 wins over a ranked team
Appears to have support from players and coaches
Knows Georgia Tech’s culture as a player and coach.
Coached at Alabama
Cons
Emotional Selection?
Losses at home to bad Virginia and Miami teams
Coached offensive line at GT, which was considered a weak spot of team
Ties to Geoff Collins era

Oddly enough the two have really split the GT fanbase. THe reality is both are easily better than COllins and neither is a slam dunk.
