We are going to keep our normal Wednesday ACC Power Rankings, but what if we are only looking at 2nd half results? Who’s better now?
We’ll start with results since October 15.
14. Boston College (0-3)
Boston College is just the ACC’s worst team period.
13. Virginia Tech (0-3)
If there is a way to lose a game Virginia Tech will find it in any half of the season.
12. Georgia Tech (1-2)
QB issues cost Georgia Tech against Virginia, but that still was loss at home. They comeback at Virgina Tech moved the Jackets ahead of the Hokies.
11. Virginia (1-2)
Virginia has at least looked competitive, and gave a UNC a real run. They also won at Georgia Tech to stay ahead of them.
10. Miami (2-2)
Miami has been awful against everyone that is in the bottom 4 of this list. They’ve beat Virginia Tech and Virginia , which is better than losing I suppose.
9. Syracuse (1-3)
Syracuse looks out of gas in the 2nd half as injuries have sunk them towards the bottom of the ACC in the second half.
8. Pitt (1-2)
Pittsburgh showed signs of life against Syracuse, but they weren’t competitive against our top 2 second half teams.
7. Wake Forest (2-2)
I think Louisville broke Wake Forest, becuase the Deacs have looked really looks average the last 2 weeks.
6. Duke (2-1)
Duke only has 3 point loss to UNC, or they would be in the top 3. This is a well coached team.
5. Clemson (2-1)
Clemson has a good 2nd half win over FSU, but let’s be honest they’ve played more bad football in their last 9 quarters than good. The game at Notre Dame was an embarressment.
4. NC State (2-1)
The Wolfpack have a 2nd half loss, but QB MJ Morris wasn’t playing yet. You don’t want any part of the Wolfpack right now.
3. Florida State (2-1)
The Noles are starting to simply blow teams away. They lost to Clemson in the second half of season, but is there anyone that doesn’t think they wouldn’t beat Clemson right now?
2. North Carolina (3-0)
Even in the 2nd half of the season, The Heels defense has been suspect, but QB Drake Maye is playing at such a high level. The offense is automatic for 30 points.
1. Louisville (3-0)
Why can’t you say Louisville isn’t the best team in the ACC during the 2nd half of the season? They’ve played 3 games and won all of them by double digits.
