ACC Team of the Week : Clemson – for a 27-21 win over Syracuse
14. Virginia Tech (2-5)
Last Week: 13
With Virginia’s win this past week, the Hokies take over the bottom of the ACC. A road game at NC State probably keeps them there.
13. Boston College (2-5)
Last Week: 12
As expected Boston College was no match for Wake Forest. UCONN is their best chance at a 2nd half win.
12. Miami (3-4)
Last Week: 9
Miami is the ACC’s most disappointing team, and now they are one of the worst.
11. Virginia (3-4)
Last Week: 14
Virginia showed flashes of a dynamic offense against Georgia Tech. Can they start building some consistency?
10. Georgia Tech (3-4)
Last Week : 8
If Jeff Sims is healthy, Georgia Tech can still salvage something out of the season. We don’t know if he’s healthy.
9. Pitt (4-3)
Last week: 7
Pittsburgh’s season is falling apart before our eyes. Now a bowl season isn’t even assured. North Carolina will be a tough test.
8. Louisville (4-3)
Last Week: 11
Louisville got a hard-fought win over Pittsburgh, but Wake Forest this week is a totally different animal.
7. Duke (5-3)
Last Week: 10
Duke is one game from bowl eligibility after trouncing Miami on the road. They get a well-deserved week off now.
6. Florida State (4-3)
Last Week: 6
Florida State can’t be losing to teams like Georgia Tech at home this week if their trend upward is going to continue this year.
5. NC State (5-2)
Last Week: 5
Even without Devin Leary if NC State loses at home to Virginia Tech then close the book on the season.
4. North Carolina (6-1)
Last Week: 4
If UNC is winning the Coastal, they aren’t losing to Pittsburgh at home.
3. Syracuse (6-1)
Last week: 3
Syracuse nearly took down Clemson. I still believe in them as a top 20 team, but not if they lose to an average Notre Dame team.
2. Wake Forest (6-1)
Last Week: 2
Wake Forest is ranked in the top 10 now. Can they manage the lofty ranking at Louisville?
1. Clemson (8-0)
Last Week: 1
Clemson beat another top 15 team, but I still haven’t seen a 60-minute game from them. They get a week off to get ready for Notre Dame.
