It was an ugly win for Virginia in a 16-9 mess of a game with Georgia Tech.

Virginia got their first ACC win of the season and showed flashes of a dynamic offense. The Hoos probably would have blown out Georgia Tech had they not had so many self-inflicted mistakes.
On the other hand, Georgia Tech may have won had their backup QB Zach Gibson not played like a deer in headlights. Poor kid was so ill-equipped to play at this level that the Hoos were the happy beneficiary.
A win is a win indeed.
