ACC Team of the Week : NC State – for a 19-17 win over Florida State

Last Week: 14
Virginia had a listless effort against a not very good Louisville team. Without a game this week, they’ll be last in these rankings next week too.
13. Virginia Tech (2-4)
Last Week: 13
Virginia Tech had some positive moments against Pitt on offense. Let’s see how far they’ve progressed against a struggling Miami team in Blacksburg.
12. Boston College (2-4)
Last Week: 10
Boston College was simply overmatched against Clemson. Two weeks might not be enough to prepare for the Wake Forest offense.
11. Louisville (3-3)
Last Week: 12
Louisville has two weeks to prepare for a Pitt team, that hasn’t looked right in several weeks.
10. Duke (4-2)
Last Week: 7
Duke got outplayed for 55 minutes by Georgia Tech before a late run. They almost pulled it out. If they knock off UNC at home, they are right back in the Coastal chase.
9. Miami (2-3)
Last Week: 9
Miami’s season is on the brink now. They lose at Virginia Tech, and they may struggle to reach a bowl game.
8. Georgia Tech (3-3)
Last Week : 11
Georgia won back to back games for the first time in nearly 4 years. A BYE week comes at a perfect time before a Thursday night game against reeling Virginia.
7. Pitt (4-2)
Last week: 8
Pittsburgh struggled against Virginia Tech. They are also on BYE, and the Panthers need it because they look off.
6. Florida State (4-2)
Last Week: 4
Florida State let a winnable game at NC State getaway, but I think they will be ready for Clemson this week.
5. North Carolina (5-1)
Last Week: 6
It’s time to start paying attention to North Carolina and forget about some of the early-season defensive struggles. They can win the Coastal. Duke is next week.
4. Syracuse (5-0)
Last week: 5
I’m sure everyone had Syracuse NC State as a top 25 matchup before the season. This will be one Syracuse’s biggest home games in years.
3. Wake Forest (5-1)
Last Week: 3
Wake Forest still seems to be sneaking up on people. I don’t know why. They are really good. The Deacs are off this week.
2. NC State (5-1)
Last Week: 2
NC State gutted out a win over Florida State, and just continue to find ways to win games. The face surging Syracuse this week.
1. Clemson (6-0)
Last Week: 1
Clemson still hasn’t gotten fully healthy, but they are taking care of business. I think the game at Florida State is extremely dangerous.
