ACC Team of the Week : Georgia Tech – for a 26-21 win over Pittsburgh
14. Virginia (2-3)
Last Week: 12
It has not been a good start for Tony Elliot at Virginia. If they lose to Louisville this weekend, say goodbye to any bowl hopes.
13. Virginia Tech (2-3)
Last Week: 11
Virginia Tech is so bad on offense, they only scored 10 points on UNC’s suspect defense. That’s a really bad sign going forward, and now face a bunch of really angry Pitt Panthers.
12. Louisville (2-3)
Last Week: 10
Scott Satterfield is in big big trouble. Oh if the Cards lose at Virginia, he might want to stay in Charlottesville.
11. Georgia Tech (2-3)
Last Week : 14
Interim head coach Brent Key guided Georgia Tech to a stunning win at Pittsburgh. Can they win two in a row with Duke next?
10. Boston College (2-3)
Last Week: 13
Boston College got a win over Louisville, which is good because now they get to host a Clemson team that’s trending upwards.
9. Miami (2-2)
Last Week: 9
Miami’s season may be decided by what they do when they host UNC this weekend.
8. Pitt (3-2)
Last week: 4
Pitt was not ready to play Georgia Tech, and took a shocking loss. Now everything about Pitt is up in the air.
7. Duke (4-1)
Last Week: 8
Duke could stamp themselves as ACC Coastal contenders with a win at Georgia Tech. They easily handled Virginia this past weekend.
6. North Carolina (4-1)
Last Week: 7
Is North Carolina the Coastal favorite now? If they beat Miami this weekend I think they are.
5. Syracuse (5-0)
Last week: 6
Syracuse after their easy win over Wagner, gets an extra week to prep for a huge game against NC State.
4. Florida State (4-1)
Last Week: 3
FSU is still trending in the right direction as a program, but Wake Forest pumped the brakes on the Noles rise. The game with NC State this weekend is to stay in the ACC Atlantic race.
3. Wake Forest (4-1)
Last Week: 5
Wake Forest went down to FSU, and kept the Noles at arms length almost the entire game. This offense is a beast. They face Army this week.
2. NC State (4-1)
Last Week: 2
NC State wasn’t quite ready for prime-time against Clemson, but I wouldn’t sell this team short just yet. They’ll look to get their season back on track against FSU.
1. Clemson (5-0)
Last Week: 1
Clemson is the unquestioned team to beat in the ACC now. I still think their best football is ahead of them.
