Who stays in the ACC Atlantic race – Florida State or NC State?
Florida State and NC State both took losses this past week to Atlantic Division Rivals Wake Forest and Clemson. This weekend they play each other, and it certainly seems like the loser is out of the ACC Atlantic chase. Clemson certainly is in the driver’s seat, but the Noles get the Tigers at home and the Wolfpack still play the 1 loss Deacs who are in the mix. This is a very pivotal ACC Atlantic game. Games like this I always favor the home team, and that means NC State.
Is Scott Satterfield done if Louisville loses to Virginia?
With Geoff Collins history, Scott Satterfield has the hottest seat in the ACC. The loss to Boston College is a nail in the coffin, but if Louisville lose their most winnable reaming game outside of Jame Madison, how does he survive? He was already on thin ice coming into the season, and Satterfield had done little to alleviate those concerns.
Is Duke, UNC the Coastal Favorite now, or more Coastal Chaos after this weekend?
Pittsburgh took a stunning loss to Georgia Tech this past weekend. Miami hasn’t lost an ACC game yet, but they haven’t played one either. That MTSU loss raises all kinds of doubts about them. This weekend Duke goes to Georgia Tech, and UNC hosts Miami. If either Duke or UNC wins, they take mid-season control of the Coastal Division. For all their issues, if the Canes roll into Chapel Hill and win, they are in the mix. In the last ACC Division year, the Coastal Division looks as wild as ever.
