The Big 10 is considering dropping divisions according to CBSSports.com.
The Big Ten is considering scheduling models that could eliminate divisions and reduce conference play to eight games, Iowa athletic director Gary Barta told The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman.
It’s about the time ACC starts seriously considering the doing the same.
ACC teams have to start playing each other more often… period.
Between 2010 and 2019 NC State and Duke played 1 time without ever playing a game in Raleigh, NC. Does that make sense for schools less than 50 miles apart?
Unless you have the permanent cross-division rival, that is happening for every Coastal and Atlantic Division rival.
In years where the best ACC teams are in the same division wouldn’t it be nice to meet in the ACC Championship game?
Frankly is there any reason for the ACC to not go Divisionless at this point?
