No one is going to argue that ACC basketball is down. We’ve been waiting for a team to stand up look like a real bonafide NCAA tournament team.
We saw that Saturday in an ACC basketball game that is going to be hard to top the rest of the year in the conference.
The Miami Hurricanes went into Durham and beat the Duke Blue Devils 76-74 in an instant classic game.
Miami has won 9 games in a row, and lead the ACC with a 5-0 record.
How high is Miami’s ceiling? That’s a good question. They will lose a few ACC games, but I like their chances to win 14-15 ACC games. They can get to the Big Dance, and be a real 2nd-weekend threat because of their excellent guard play.
