Sitting at 3-4, Georgia Tech needed a win at home over reeling Virginia Tech to keep their bowl hopes alive. The Yellow Jackets defense fell flat in the 1st half, and Geoff Collins had a 4th quarter of inexplicable play calling. It all resulted in an ugly 26-17 loss that effectively killed any chance at a bowl game for Georgia Tech. The Jackets have to find 3 wins from red-hot Miami, top 15 Notre Dame, Boston College, and the nations #1 team Georgia.
It all adds up to another lost season for Geoff Collins at Georgia Tech, making him 3 for 3 with nothing to play for but pride in November.
How did Georgia Tech twitter react? Look away if you are a Geoff Collins apologist
The more Collins claims progress, the more I see the few but passionate decades-long GT fans I know have less interest in football than I have ever known them to have. https://t.co/NMyU3searg

it’s pretty obvious to everyone at this point the Georgia Tech football coaching staff needs a serious shakeup. the problem is said staff is far too high on their own supply to make a change.

This is unacceptable. VT is awful, and this game positively buys Justin Fuente an extra week of employment.
At what point do you address your disaster, @GTToddStansbury? Is it after full fan apathy sets in?

100% this loss was the coaching staff’s fault

I talk about firing people because I don’t believe in the grown men running the program right now and want the AD to hire someone who will produce better results. Go Jackets. https://t.co/Ez2oufSzN8
