Duke didn’t bother to make an appearance at Virginia as they got trounced 48-0. The clock is ticking on David Cutcliffe.
13. Miami (2-4)
Last Week: 14
Miami showed a bit of life against UNC, but it was a still another tough loss. They get red hot NC State this week, and I don’t see how they will make a bowl.
12. Syracuse (3-4)
Last week: 13
Syracuse nearly knocked off Clemson this past week, but who isn’t these days? Their loser of their game with Virginia Tech may be spending the holidays at home.
11. North Carolina (4-3)
Last Week: 11
North Carolina beat Miami 45-42. They get a BYE week to try an salvage something out of a lost season.
10. Florida State (2-4)
Last Week: 10
After FSU beats UMASS, they’ll have won their 3rd game in a row.
9. Georgia Tech (3-3)
Last Week : 9
Virginia is a bad matchup for Georgia Tech, but they’ve had an extra week to prepare for the Cav’s explosive offense.
8. Virginia Tech (3-3)
Last Week: 6
The Hokies were flat and listless against Pittsburgh. Justin Fuente is in a lot of trouble.
7. Louisville (3-3)
Last Week: 8
Louisville has a critical game this week against Boston College. They really need this one to go bowling.
6. Boston College (4-2)
Last Week: 4
BC just ran into a NC State team that’s playing some really good football. Louisville is probably a little more their speed.
5. Virginia (5-2)
Last Week: 6
Virginia thrashed Duke 48-0. They stand a great chance of being 6-2 after they play Georgia Tech.
4. Clemson (4-2)
Last Week: 3
Clemson’s offense is still broken. That’s not what you want to see heading to Pitt to play the Panthers and ACC POY contender Kenny Pickett.
3. Pitt (5-1)
Last week: 5
Pittsburgh went to Virginia Tech, and just cruised to a 28-7 victory. They are the better team this week when they face Clemson. Now they need to prove it.
2. NC State (5-1)
Last Week: 2
NC State thumped a pretty decent Boston College team on the road. That’s what good teams do. They can’t overlook a reeling Miami team this week.
1. Wake Forest (6-0)
Last Week: 1
Wake Forest has Army this week. If Wake Forest is the ACC’s best team, they’ll take care of the Cadets, but it won’t be easy. Army is solid.
