ACC Media days are July 21 and July 22. The schedule is here from the ACC. There are questions though I hope we see an answer to during the ACC Media Days.
1) Is COMCAST close to finalizing a deal with the ACC Network?
Back in May new commissioner Jim Phillips hinted that it could the case that the ACC and COMCAST were close to finalizing that deal. If the ACC can land COMCAST that would be a huge boost to ACC revenue.
2) What is the future of ACC divisions and/or conference scheduling?
The current ACC Divisions and scheduling model is clearly outdated. I’d really like to hear if any changes are coming in regard to this.
3) What will be the COVID protocol for the season?
This one will certainly be answered, but I’m curious what that response will be. The SEC has made it clear they won’t be rescheduling games. Teams with a 85% Vacccination rate will avoid the more strenuous testing protocols. It will be interesting if the ACC follows suit or how they manage this.
