Just a quick post for tonight, but with the 12 new playoff proposal it is interesting to see which teams would have made in the past.
This is a good graphic below.
If the rumored 12 team #CFBPlayoff format with autobids for 5 P5 and 1 G5 Champ comes to pass, here’s what it might have looked like during each year of the CFP. pic.twitter.com/in30WbUv21

One thing it shows how many non Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State teams would have made the playoffs including Group of 5 teams. Take a look at the teams like Georgia Tech, Northwestern, Washington State that just miss the playoffs, but play final weeks of the season with a real shot at the playoffs. That’s going to enhance the regular season. You can count on that.

Too many first round upsets to guess, so I’ll focus on quarterfinals:
2014: I like TCU to upset FSU
2015: Ohio State to upset Michigan St
2016: Penn State to upset Washington
2017: Ohio State to upset Alabama
2018: UCF to upset Alabama
2019: Georgia to upset Oklahoma
2020: hard to say with so little OOC data
