LOCKS

Notre Dame, Florida State, NC State, Georgia Tech, Miami

Notre Dame is playing for a top 8 national seed and is cruising in their series with Virginia Tech. NC State is the hottest team in the ACC, and might be in line for regional seed – even if they can’t host which will be awkward for the NCAAs. FSU is fine for the NCAAs, but you don’t want to get swept going in the ACC tournament.

Georgia Tech is a lock for the NCAAs beating UGA and splitting the first two with UNC. They clinch the Coastal with a final day win over UNC or a Miami loss to Louisville and with the way the Cardinals are falling apart – the Jackets better just win.

The Canes have won their last 4 ACC games.

BUBBLE BUT IN

Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Louisville, Virginia

Did Pittsburgh pick a bad time to lose a series to Wake Forest? They better not get swept. Their NCAA chances are teetering. They are in for now. The same goes for Louisville, who lost their series to Miami and if they get swept they are squarely on the bubble.

UNC and Virginia maybe actually be in better than shape than Pitt or Louisville and a final day win for either may lock up a bid for them.

BUBBLE BUT OUT

Clemson, Virginia Tech, Duke

Clemson and Virginia Tech are fading right out of the NCAA picture. Both must find a way not to get swept by Duke and Notre Dame. Speaking of Duke if they sweep Clemson, suddenly they may be on the right side of the bubble. The Blue Devils would be on an 8 game winning streak and would pull well ahead of Clemson and Virginia Tech.

OUT

Wake Forest, Boston College

Wake Forest is playing spoiler to Pittsburgh winning the first two of that series. Boston College is just what Virginia needed.
