If you watched the Florida State vs Virginia game, you saw the only ACC team capable of getting to the Final 4 play like it. Virginia is a very good team. They can reach the Sweet 16, and given a favorable draw maybe even the Elite 8, but that’s as far as they can get.
Florida State on the other hand has a gear that the Hoos simply can’t match. Tonight we saw that gear from the Noles, and it was scary in a 81-60 victory that wasn’t that close.
FSU is deep, long, and athletic. When they knock down shots from the perimeter they can play with anyone in country and that includes Baylor and Gonzaga.
Since their 1st COVID pause the Noles have played like a top 6 team winning 7 of 8 games with 5 by double digits. Their only loss was at Georgia Tech when the combination of an off night by FSU and Georgia Tech playing their best game of the season led to defeat.
Monday night, the Noles shot better that 50% from three. What you saw was a team that’s capable of reaching the Final 4.
