ACC College Basketball Power Rankings after Week 11

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing.

We’ve added conference records, and .NET rankings via http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2021/net

15. Boston College (3-13, 1-9) NET Ranking 161

Last week: 15

BC has the bottom of these rankings on lockdown. UNC and Notre Dame are up this week.

14. Wake Forest (6-9, 3-9) NET Ranking 114

Last week: 14

Wake Forest had FSU on the ropes. They are going to get to Duke or NC State this week if not both.

13. Miami (7-12, 3-11) NET Ranking 148

Last week: 13

Miami thought Chris Lykes would be playing Sunday against Notre Dame, and he tweaked his ankle. Just one game this week against Georgia Tech, and the Jackets better be ready.

12. NC State (8-9, 4-8) NET Ranking 100

Last Week: 11

Injuries and disinterested play have sunk NC State’s season. The Wolfpack play Pitt and Wake Forest this week. Kevin Keatts is starting to feel a little heat from Pack fans.

11. Pittsburgh (9-7, 5-6) NET Ranking 77

Last Week: 10

Pitt needs a sweep of NC State and Clemson to have any remaining slim shot at the NCAAs.

10. Notre Dame (9-10, 6-7) NET Ranking 64

Last Week: 12

The Irish have been playing solid since mid January. Despite the record this team will cause problems down the stretch in the ACC. Beware Clemson and Syracuse this week.

9. Georgia Tech (10-8, 6-6) NET Ranking 63

Last Week : 7

Georgia Tech can’t win on the road in the ACC. Until they do they aren’t a legit NCAA threat. BC will probably be a win, but the game at Miami is an absolute must.

8. Duke  (8-8, 6-6) NET Ranking 66

Last Week: 9

If Duke could sweep Wake Forest and Virginia this week, it could completely reset the season.

7. Syracuse (12-6, 6-5) NET Ranking 52

Anything worse than split against Louisville and Notre Dame would be real hard for Syracuse to make up.

Last Week: 8

6. North Carolina (12-7, 7-5) NET Ranking 56

Last Week: 6

Tough week ahead for the Tar Heels as they face Virginia Tech and Louisville. A split is a must. If the Heels get both, they probably lock up a NCAA bid barring a total collapse.

5. Clemson (13-5, 7-5) NET Ranking 45

Last Week: 5

A three game winning streak has Clemson in great NCAA shape. At Notre Dame and at Pitt is a tricky week.

4. Louisville (11-4, 6-3) NET Ranking 34

Last Week: 4

Louisville after a pause will play Syracuse and at UNC. Just get 1 and the Cards stay on track.

3. Virginia Tech (14-4, 8-3) NET Ranking 33

Last Week: 3

With games at UNC and FSU, it’s a tough week ahead for the Hokies. They’d take a split all day.

2. Virginia (15-3, 11-1) NET Ranking 6

Last Week: 2

Virginia makes you think you can play with them for 30 minutes, then they put you away. If they get FSU and Duke this week, they could be looking at a #2 overall NCAA seed.

1. Florida State (11-3, 7-2) NET Ranking 25

Last Week: 1

I’ve thought all year that FSU had the highest ceiling in the ACC. Now it’s the Noles chance to prove it with Virginia and Virginia Tech this week.
