Monday night, another ACC game was post-poned. This time it was UNC vs Miami. While we are well on way to completing the college basketball season every team in the ACC has had games cancelled. The question is now beginning across the country. Should conference tournaments be cancelled?
Here’s a sampling of why the conference tournaments need to be cancelled.

This CBS article says one out of every four coaches says conference tournaments should not be held.
With uneven ACC schedules, the ACC Tournament week provides an opportunity to makeup 2 or 3 games in the ACC schedule. The tournament is more or less a fan gathering these days. It’s a fun and a great event, but it shouldn’t be played this year.
A poll was taken where more than 40% of fans agreed that makeup games should played. That is an astonishingly high number of fans that would consider cancelling event such as the ACC tournament. As more games get cancelled this number may rise.
