Good evening, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.
Here’s a few thoughts I have on the Virginia Tech men’s basketball game on the road at Miami today:
My unlikely player of the game – yes I said, is Wabissa Bede. He takes a lot of criticism for this offensive game (and some of it deservedly so). But today, he did a lot of little things right. Bede only had 2 fouls (really aggressive on defense, too). #Hokies 2/

Earlier this year in Blacksburg, Wong had 16 (and that game did not go to overtime). Last year, in a 3 OT game, Wong had 27 points in the game at Blacksburg. While Wong got some points (*later*) in the game today, he had to work for every shot he got – no easy shots. #Hokies 4/

The short of if is – we might not like Bede’s offensive game on many nights – but he really showed up on defense today. Kudos to the graduate student. #Hokies /end

And Virginia Tech is finding ways to win with Tyrece Radford out of the lineup – and it sounds like he will be back. Kudos to Mike Young and the Hokies. And Wabissa Bede – he is showing some leadership when it’s needed.
