BC did pick up a win this week over Miami, but that’s not enough to move them out of the bottom of this list.
14. Wake Forest (3-5)
Last week: 14
Wake Forest is going to breakthrough. They pushed Virginia Tech Sunday, but just couldn’t get over the hump.
13. Notre Dame (4-8)
Last Week: 13
Notre Dame has a chance to build some momentum this week with Howard and Miami. If they don’t sweep, it’s a wrap on their season.
12. Syracuse (7-4)
Last Week: 11
At 1-3 in the ACC, its now over never this week for Syracuse with Miami and Virginia Tech at home.
11. NC State (6-4)
Last Week: 10
NC State’s season is in real trouble. They were a no show against FSU and this week they play at red hot Virginia and improving UNC.
10. Miami (6-6)
Last week: 12
Miami has won 2 of their last 3, and they still aren’t healthy. The win over Louisville was a stunner.
9. North Carolina (8-5)
Last Week: 8
North Carolina played well at a loss to FSU. This team is getting better. It’s a big week with winnable games against Wake Forest and NC State this week.
8. Georgia Tech (6-3)
Last Week : 7
Georgia Tech has monster game with Clemson this week, because after that they probably aren’t winning at Virginia.
7. Pittsburgh (7-2)
Last Week: 9
If Pittsburgh played Syracuse every week they’d never lose. Justin Champagnie is back and Pitt could be ready to make a move with Duke and BC this week.
6. Duke (5-3)
Last Week: 6
Duke needs to find a way to split games at Pittsburgh and Louisville this week. Defending would help too.
5. Louisville (9-2)
Last Week: 4
What happened against Miami? Florida State and Duke make for a huge week.
4. Clemson (9-2)
Last Week: 1
Clemson came out of their pause a mess, and got destroyed by Virginia. Georgia Tech looks like a must win, because surging FSU is later in the week.
3. Virginia Tech (11-2)
Last Week: 4
Virginia Tech had a great week. They took care of Duke, and then won the road at Wake Forest. With Boston College and reeling Syracuse this week, they should stay near the top of the ACC standings.
2. Virginia (9-2)
Last Week: 3
Virginia is starting to play like their pre-season top 10 ranking. That’s 3 wins in a row by double digits. NC State and Georgia Tech at home likely extend the Hoos winning streak to 7.
1. Florida State (7-2)
Last Week: 2
Leonard Hamilton did a fantastic job handling FSU coming out of their pause winning both games against NC State and UNC. Louisville and Clemson are this week.
