Greg Sankey needs to mind his own business about the ACC

So SEC commissioner Greg Sankey recently came out and discussed the ACC’s decision to have Notre Dame and Clemson play 9 conference games, which guarantees Notre Dame a spot in the ACC Championship. Clemson must only defeat Virginia Tech to get, and both will get a BYE week prior to the game.

This is what Sankey had to say from CBSSports.com

“I was surprised to see the announcement [Tuesday],” the SEC commissioner told CBS Sports. “It begs one question: If their two most highly ranked teams were, for instance, [ranked] five and six in the CFP Rankings, would this decision have been made?”

Guess what Greg, how about minding your own business? The only people that are allowed to have a grip are associated with the Miami Hurricanes who have been virtually eliminated from in the ACCCG. Even for them it would have required a Notre Dame loss to Wake Forest, and Clemson losing to either Virginia Tech or Florida State which seems highly unlikely.

ACC teams will have played at least 10 games which considering the state of college football scheduling is among the most games of any conference.

That Sankey’s conference is the one that backed out of the OOC games with the ACC leaves him no room to make any comments about the ACC. When those OOC games got cancelled, that left Sankey without any right to speak on the ACC.
