Remember when Scott Satterfield was the talk of the ACC, and Louisville came into the season with high hopes and high expectations? That seems like an eternity ago. Louisville’s latest loss, this time to Virginia, dropped them to 2-6 and guaranteed a losing season for the Cardinals. The only teams the Cards have defeated this year are Western Kentucky and lowly Florida State, but it’s not as if they haven’t been competitive.
Louisville has 3 single digit losses, including giving Notre Dame their closest game game of the season in a 12-7 loss.
There’s been some bad luck, shaky coaching, the COVID factor. Put it all together, and it’s resulted in a lost season at Louisville.
I still think Satterfield is the answer long-term, but this is a season he’d like to forget.
How are Louisville fans feeling after the 31-17 loss to Virginia?
You can be happy with Satterfield and staff and be pissed at this disastrous season at the same time.

This Louisville team wasn’t supposed to be this bad. They returned too much and had momentum. Mark this season as a disappointment

this season was gone for me after georgia tech so i guess i’m thankful for that. you can make all the excuses you want for this ineptitude, none of them are good enough.

If there was a ranking for “ability to seek out & find ways to lose winnable games” then UofL would have a unanimous #1 ranking in the AP Poll
