Around the #ACC Blogosphere – #Hokies Podcast Edition – What Are They Saying After Liberty? Hokies Flame Out!!

Good evening, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that Virginia Tech took one of the absolute worst losses of the Justin Fuente era last Saturday.

1.) Don V Fridays (@DonV757_) – Don “has been done” with Justin Fuente.  In fact, he was done before everyone – and probably years ahead of his time. Don ponders what was different for everyone about the Liberty loss that folks haven’t seen in the last 2.5 years.

2.) Hunker Down Hokie (@HunkerDownHokie) – The 2-Minute Drillfield podcast.  Dan ponders – and then argues that Virginia Tech cannot afford not to pay the buyout to Justin Fuente.

3.) Hokie Hangover Podcast (@HokieHangover) – A Virginia Tech Sports Podcast with hosts @AndrewAlixRadio, @RickyLaBlue, and, @MikeMcDanielSI– So, here’s the deal – former Virginia Tech Hokies offensive lineman and alumnus, Dwight Vick (@vick757) was on their show last week.  That’s all you need to know – the guys discussed the status of the Virginia Tech football program – and the steps the players and the coaches need to take to get the program moving again.

4.) Two Deep (@TwoDeepVT) – The Two Deep: Hokies Under The Influence, a Virginia Tech Football podcast hosted by @petebvt and @Hokie_RD.   The only lesson from the Liberty game is that this is going to happen again.  “This feels like a loveless marriage where you have to stay together for the kids – and the kids are the buyout.”  If you’re going for field goals against Liberty (e.g. before the half), there is a systemic problem in the program.

5.) Boundary Corner (@BoundaryCorner) –  This 804 podcast is hosted by @seig5052 and @crwilson22001The guys bring up a good point – expectations and investment – you fire a guy, you have to take the two-pronged approach of not only hiring the right person, but you need to increase financial resources in the program.

6.) Chowder and Grits – Chowder and Grits is run by Justin Coachiola (@ItsCoachiola) and Tim Huerth (@timmyjimmm).  “It’s like a messy divorce – both partners (Virginia Tech and Justin Fuente) are trapped with each other.”

7.) Sons of Saturday (@SonsOfSat) – The Sons of Saturday podcast is hosted by @Billy_shmurda, @g_wimb, and @patfinn45They did give a 360 degree review of the Liberty game (good and bad points).
