Wow just wow… Virginia Tech fans have to be irate with the coaching debacle that ended in a nightmare loss to the Liberty flames.
Judging by the reaction, that’s exactly what they are too.
First tied at 35 a piece… The Liberty kicker attempted a 59 yard kick that Virginia Tech blocked and returned for a TD. That appeared to be the winning score. Unfortunately Justin Fuente called a timeout which negated a winning score. If that wasn’t bad enough, Virginia Tech seemed to prepare for a hail mary pass on the next play, and Liberty threw underneath for a 9 yard completion that left the Flames with a 50 yard kick that they made.
An ugly loss, that in a normal year would probably signal the end of the Justin Fuente era. It’s not a normal year and financially strapped schools likely will hang on to hotseat coaches.

You just can’t sugarcoat anything – That loss, and the way it happened is the complete tipping point of the Fuente era – There’s no getting the fanbase back from this one after all the crap that’s already happened under his watch
