Good afternoon, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) fans. Just a brief post here.
As many of you all know, Virginia Tech’s first football game was this past weekend vs. North Carolina State University. Virginia Tech won that game pretty handily by the score of 45-24 (and in my opinion, let off the gas a little bit). You can see the game recap here from @TimThomasTLP over at @TechLunchPail.
Both @JamesCurle and @RedWhitePodcast have been very supportive of @AllSportsDACC – and I was curious on their thoughts on both sides of the coin – like what they thought of North Carolina State University’s performance and what they also though of Virginia Tech. Here’s what they said:

I think certainly it’s both. I think VT exposed our defense quite a bit. We’re easy to run on and our corners still need quite a bit of work. I think we’re officially done with the Bailey Hockman era.

VTs Oline will be the best one we see all year.
Our DL is not great and our LB have been exposed and were supposed to be a strength.
I’d say a bit of both to answer your Q

Now, granted, North Carolina State University was not picked high in the ACC pre-season poll (11th, I think it was) – but at the same time, many of the pre-season polls are way off. This was only the first football game for Virginia Tech – and this was the second game for North Carolina State University – but there are a few items that you can take away here and I appreciate the Wolfpack brethren for taking an ACC Q&A from me.
