Good morning, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.
As you know, I’ve called more than once for Virginia Tech to cancel it’s football series with Liberty University.
Let’s make it three time today.
Here is some new reporting from Damien Sordelett of the Lynchburg, VA News and Advance:
Liberty football coach Hugh Freeze said the program hasn’t had a positive test in three weeks.
The screenings in the past two weeks haven’t necessitated any tests because players are not showing symptoms.

If this reporting is accurate, it appears that Hugh Freeze sounds like he’s stunningly unaware that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) can be transmitted by asymptomatic people.
Virginia Tech needs to immediate look at the out clauses in its football contract with Liberty University. I would also argue that Liberty isn’t meeting ACC testing protocols either – so any ACC school who plays Liberty should look at their out clauses, too.

No need to test them if they’re healthy enough to practice, right?
