Good morning, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.
Just ran across this video from Bronco Mendenhall:

I loved seeing Bronco lead his young men in their “take back their grounds march.” If you recall, in August 2017, University of Virginia student, Heather Heyer was brutally murdered by James Alex Fields, Jr as he drove his car into a group of counter-protestors at a white nationalist march. Fields pleaded guilty to 29 of 30 hate crimes in a plea deal to avoid the death penalty for murdering Heather Heyer.
As a Hokie, I will tell you – I like Charlottesville, VA – it’s a nice town and it’s very open to diversity. It is your quintessential college town. People are very friendly.
Bronco took his player around the campus – and mentioned to them that we indeed are a campus who values diversity and do not stand for white nationalism – standing against hate and inequality – developing responsible citizen leaders.
Bronco’s groundkeepers movement is the good news people need to see in our world now.
