It was a disappointing finish to the season that ended too early…

1. Florida State (26-5, 16-4)
Leonard Hamilton’s had himself a team this year, and they were the ACC’s best.
2. Virginia (23-7, 15-5)
The Hoos were on fire at the end of the season. They would have been a trendy pick to make the Sweet 16.
3. Louisville (24-7, 15-5)
Chris Mack has Louisville trending in the right direction.
4. Duke (25-6, 15-5)
Duke was a very good team, but their defense was lacking.
5. Georgia Tech (17-14, 11-9)
Georgia Tech was playing some really solid basketball by the end of the year. Their backcourt is one to watch next year.
6. North Carolina State (20-12, 10-10)
I think the Wolfpack were going to sneak in the NCAAs.
7. Notre Dame (20-12, 10-10)
The Irish just lost so many close games, but were dangerous at year’s end.
8. Syracuse (18-14, 10-10)
What NIT seed would Syracuse have been?
9. Clemson (16-15, 9-11)
Clemson was the ACC’s most inconsistent team. Brad Brownell will be back though.
10. Pittsburgh (16-17, 6-14)
10-15 is pretty much interchangeable, and at least Pitt won a game in the ACC Tournament.
11. North Carolina (14-19, 6-14)
UNC couldn’t wait for the season to the end. It was an ugly loss in the ACCT to Syracuse.
12. Wake Forest (13-18, 6-14)
Is Danny Manning going to return?
13. Miami (15-16, 7-13)
The Canes just couldn’t stay healthy.
15. Virginia Tech (16-16, 7-13)
Some early season wins keep Virginia Tech from the bottom of this list.
14. Boston College (13-19, 7-13)
Boston College finished the ACC with the conference’s longest losing streak at 6.
