Friday, the dean of ACC journalists, @DavidTeelatDP announced he was leaving the Daily Press.
Overwhelmed by the kind words, today. Will respond to y’all ASAP.
Beyond blessed to have called @DP_Sports home for 36 years and to exit on my terms.
And please know this isn’t retirement. I’ve got a third-grader! #TinyTeel ❤️ pic.twitter.com/Coj6I0YyTl

How well respected was @DavidTeelatDP was here?
His articles are the most referenced pieces by any journalist on this blog. Twenty times we based one of our articles around something Teel wrote.
Do you know why we did that? Because if David Teel wrote it, you could believe it.
During the the expansion circus of the early 2010’s through the ACC’s development of their network, no journalist was more trusted than Teel.
That’s the mark of a truly great journalist. Where Teel ends up in his next endeavor, only he knows, but maybe this blog article foreshadows a possibility.
@Hokiesmash_ASD suggested last year if the ACC Network branches out to include some print columnists that Teel should be a choice.
Frankly this would be a fantastic move by the ACC Network. Already with with highly regarded ACC personalities @WesDurham and @MarkPacker in the fold, Teel would be another person in the media who has lived and breathed ACC Sports for multiple decades.
Whatever Teel does in the future, I’m sure and hope it will be ACC related.
We’ll certainly be watching and waiting to read a @DavidTeelatDP ACC article.
We at @AllSportsDACC wish him the best.
