Clemson had lost 59 straight to UNC in Chapel Hill, but they entered today with a shot. The Heels had already gotten beat at home by Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, and today up 10 with 2 minute fell in an epic collapse.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN PROGRAM HISTORY, @ClemsonMBB WINS IN CHAPEL HILL! 😱 pic.twitter.com/eSKgp1Dm1g

I never thought I’d see UNC team as bad as the 8-20 team, but in a down ACC and without Cole Anthony the Tar Heels are the worst team in the ACC.
This is like calling Alabama football the worst team in the SEC. It is incomprehensible.
Roy Williams is a Hall of Famer, and one of the best coaches ever, and I said this after the game.
Roy is a Hall of Famer, but he sunk any chance of salvaging the season when he threw his players under the bus. He wrecked any remaining confidence they had and they played like it down the stretch today.

This is the worst season Roy Williams has ever coached.
UNC is a blueblood and will be back, but the 2019-2020 season is done.
Clemson on the other hand is an interesting case. Brad Brownell looked like he was in big trouble after starting the season 6-7 (0-3) in the ACC, but he’s opened up the offense a bit allowing Amir Simms, who was huge today, to roam the perimeter a bit more. Simms was playing the 5 spot which limited his effectiveness. He’s still playing there alot, but letting him move out more has made a world of difference for Clemson.
In a down year in the the Tigers have won 2 games in row with wins over NC State and UNC. Clyde Trapp’s return has given the Tigers experience and steadied the backcourt.
Clemson is simply a better team than they were a month ago.
Whether UNC is down or not, Brownell produced a historic result in a season that many thought was lost.
Regarding his status, 15 wins I believe will assure he returns to Clemson to next season. Today can’t be the last high point of the season.
