Here is an interesting read from @AthlonSports. They ranked all 130 College Football Head Coaches. Click the link for the full rankings with their comments.
Do you agree or disagree with the ACC coaches rankings?
88. Manny Diaz, Miami – Too low | Is Diaz being penalized because he is first year head coach? It seems so.
80. Steve Addazio, Boston College – Too Low | Addazio inherited a disaster, and made BC competitive.
73. Geoff Collins, Georgia Tech – Too Low | I’m ok with if Collins isn’t in the top 50, but he had a winning record at Temple. He should be a bit higher.
52. Pat Narduzzi, Pitt – Just Right | Narduzzi has been ok. There are notable wins and an ACC Division title.
48. Willie Taggart, Florida State – Too High | Taggart may turn out to be great, but you coach FSU to their worst season in over 30 years and you’ve got work to do.
38. Scott Satterfield, Louisville – Just Right | Satterfield came in highly regarded from Appalachian State. If he wins 4 games in his first year at Louisville, put him in the top 30.
37. Dave Doeren, NC State – Just Right | Doeren has made huge improvements at NC State. He deserves credit that. Now time to take the next step.
35. Mack Brown, North Carolina – Just Right | This ranking for Brown is for previous services rendered. He’s off to incredible recruiting start at UNC.
33. Dave Clawson, Wake Forest – Too Low | There are not 32 coaches who could have rebuilt Wake Forest the way Clawson did.
30. Bronco Mendenhall, Virginia – Just Right | Mendenhall is one more solid season from being in the top 25.
27. Justin Fuente, Virginia Tech – Just Right | I’d have had Fuente in the top 25 last year, but that’s what a 6-7 season will do.
26. Dino Babers, Syracuse – Too Low | He just went 10 – 3, and no team in the country has been more competitive with Clemson the last two years than Syracuse. This is a criminal ranking.
24. David Cutcliffe, Duke – Too Low | This ranking is a joke. I’d have Cutcliffe somewhere in the 10-15 range. He is rebuild of Duke is astonishing.
2. Dabo Swinney, Clemson – Just Right | Dabo Swinney’s only peer in college football is Nick Saban. If Swinney beats him again he should take over as #1.
