The ACC is well represented in the College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

College Football is right around the corner. We are starting to see all of the preseason projections on conference winners and all-conference players. Well, another ballot has been released and that is for the College Football Hall of Fame. The ACC is well represented in this years voting. I have to admit, most of these players were on teams that were not ACC members at the time. However, since these teams are in the league now, we will call them ACC legends. Here is the list of players that are up for enshrinement in the College Football Hall of Fame:

1. Jerome Brown, Defensive Tackle, Miami
2. Matt Cavanaugh, QB, Pitt
3. Marco Coleman, LB, Georgia Tech
4. Marvin Harrison,WR Syracuse
5. Craig (Ironhead) Heyward, RB, Pitt
6. Ray Lewis, LB, Miami
7. Pete Mitchell, TE, Boston College
8. Corey Moore, DL, Virginia Tech
9. Dan Morgan, LB, Miami
10. Julius Peppers, DE, North Carolina
11. Anthony Poindexter, DB, Virginia
12. CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson

If you look at this years class that includes 3 Heisman Trophy winners, it’s hard to see more than 2 of these players getting into the Hall. But when you take a look at this list and see some of the players and the accomplishments, it is impressive.
