Happy Friday, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.
We take another Q&A today from @Treadmillhorse, a frequent guest of the @AllSportsDACC podcast. He asks his about the impact of the ACC Network on the revenues for the conference’s institutions. Here’s what @TalkinACCSports and I said:
What kind of impact do you think the ACC Network will make on the revenues of individual ACC teams? Will we be on par with the Big Ten and SEC?

I’m going to have @TalkinACCSports chime in on this too – my answer is not right away – – but it will close the gap – the gap is always going to be there as the Big 10 and SEC had a head start – but the gap I think will be less (1)

(2) that said, we don’t know what the cable industry model is going to look like in 10-15 years – so it’s a really good move by the ACC to offer both linear and online options

Estimates have it making 4-8 million a year. It will close the gap but like said They had a head start and their base tv deals are better and they have other ways of creating revenue. Bigger alumni and fanbases overall better bowl deals
