Who will be the next person to join the ACC Network roster?

Recently we wrote about the ACC Network’s current roster.   We have personalities we may want to see on the the network, but who is actually going to be named next?

Here’s my list in no particular order and why…

@TomLuginbill  – He’s a former Georgia Tech player, and is already a sideline analyst for ESPN. Luginbill has been a frequent guest, and fill in host for the ACC Central Sirius XM radio show with @WesDurham and @MarkPacker. Packer and Durham have already been named to the ACC Network, and Luginbill already has ties with the two.

@AnishESPN (Anish Scroff) – Could the ACC be looking for a northern flavor? Scroff is a Syracuse grad, that works for ESPN. He’s done a ton of announcing for lacrosse on ESPN, which you can expect to be a significant part of the ACC Network.

@dannykanell – The SEC Network has several huge personalities that make SEC football sound like the NFL. They are huge cheerleaders and it is annoying to every non-SEC fan who finds their way to that channel. If the ACC Network wants at least one big personality with the ability drive rival conference fans nuts, the former FSU QB Kanell would be that guy.

@RachelBaribeau – She’s filled in for @WesDurham and @MarkPacker on their ACC Central Sirius XM radio show and has done a nice job. She has a wealth of radio experience and has done sports commentary on a variety of media platforms. We won’t hold it against her that she went to Auburn, and you’d think the same if you’ve heard her on ACC Central.

@MollyAMcGrath – The ESPN College Football sideline reporter hails by way of Boston College. She’s done studio work, sideline work, even production work for ESPN.

@DavidTeelatDP – The dean of ACC journalists, and is as arguably as tied into the conference as anyone. Teel doesn’t necessarily have to leave the Daily Press, but maybe be a special contributor to the ACC Network. I could see a role like that for him.

The ones I WANT to see on the ACCN are Kanell and Baribeau – but that may not be what we get.

McGrath is ok in place of Baribeau – particularly if they want all ACC alumni.
I’ve seen and heard David Teel… he’s best suited for print material, IMO (you may think the same about me after one podcast!)

If I’m betting, I’m going with Luginbill or Scroff next.

It’s hard to say how big ACC Alumni is, but I’d think it would be an edge.
