ACC Football Mid-Season Awards

How can it be the mid-season of college football season already? Well we have some ACC Football awards to handout.

Mid-Season

Coach of the Year

Bronco Mendenhall, Virginia

We said this a few days ago – Mendenhall is your ACC Mid-Season Coach of the Year,  Mark Richt of Miami, and Dave Doeren of NC State are your net two contenders.

Offensive Player of the Year

Lamar Jackson, Louisville

Jackson is putting up a whopping 430 yards of offense a game. He might be better than last year.

Eric Dungey of Syracuse, and Josh Jackson of Virginia are you next candidates.

Defensive Player of the Year

Bradley Chubb, NC State

He’s been the single most disruptive defensive player in the ACC. He leads the ACC in tackles for loss and sacks.

Micah Kiser of Virginia, and Austin Bryant of Clemson were also considered.

Best OOC Win of the First Half

Clemson 14 Auburn 6

This Clemson win had the country believing again the Tigers were a playoff contender. They sacked Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham 11 times.

Virginia over Boise State, and Virginia Tech beat West Virginia also considered

Best Conference Win of the First Half

Syracuse 27 Clemson 24

What an incredible win by Dino Babers and company over the Clemson Tigers

Clemson’s win at Virginia Tech also considered.
