We just watched North Carolina State win in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time since 1995.

I’m going to try to put that in perspective. Let’s take a look of what was going on in 1995.

The 1995 Final Four was UCLA, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas.

The star player for the UCLA team? Ed O’Bannon, yes that Ed O’Bannon. The one who just won a lawsuit against the NCAA late last year. The same Ed O’Bannon who’s son who is currently a 4 * basketball player who has committed to USC.

The Super Bowl was San Francisco vs San Deigo. It was Steve Young’s first and only Super Bowl as a starting quaterback (he was on the Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV but didn’t start).

In the 1994-95 NBA season The Houston Rockets won the NBA Championship beating the Shaquille O’Neal lead Orlando Magic.

On the radio you would be hearing Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise, TLC’s Waterfalls, Darius Rucker was lead singing Hootie and the Blowfish… And I was a junior in high school… So, as you can see, it’s been a long time since The North Carolina State Wolfpack won in Cameron Indoor Stadium….
