#Baylor Continues to be a National Embarrassment

Baylor

Good afternoon, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) fans.

If it isn’t obvious already, Baylor is a national embarrassment:

According to the KWTX report (a news station that covers Waco, Temple, and Killeen, TX):

WACO, Texas (KWTX) Baylor fans are being urged to wear green as the Bears host TCU Saturday afternoon, but Baylor players will be dressed in black, and some of them are saying it’s a nod to their embattled former head coach Art Briles.

Briles was fired in May after the Pepper Hamilton law firm delivered a scathing report to Baylor regents about the findings of its review of the school’s handling of sexual assault reports.

Baylor Athletics announced in June that the Baylor-TCU game would be a “green-out,” but players voted this week to wear black.

The players, led by seniors, have a longstanding tradition of choosing the uniform combination for each game.

Baylor wide receiver Chris Platt tweeted “this black out means more than just the uniforms to us. #truthdontlie “– a hashtag often used by Briles and a hashtag used earlier this year when coaches simultaneously tweeted a KWTX story in which interim coach Jim Grobe contradicted claims in a Baylor press release regarding the football program.

Baylor running back Terrance Williams tweeted “Ima have #CAB all over me Saturday. Wbu BU?”

Baylor Quarterback Seth Russell simply posted a photo of a black box.
Here’s where I have to call out Baylor’s Athletic Director – he should have immediately informed the football players that they don’t make decisions on uniforms – and ended this immediately.

All I can say here is that these Baylor assistant coaches should have been fired before the beginning of the year – and will likely not coach in the FBS again.  This is a dumpster fire – and they know the end is near.
