Happy Friday, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans – tomorrow, we’re three Saturdays from college football!!!
Let’s take a look at what is going on with our fellow ACC bloggers in our look at the ACC Blogosphere… here we go:
- The guys at Louisville Sports Live (LvilleSprtsLive) recently had college football guru, Phil Steele, on their podcast. Phil told our Louisville friends that the ACC should be the 2nd best football conference this year. He also sees a time when college football goes to four power conferences with 16 teams each (and the ACC will be one of the four).
- Some basketball news from SB Nation Virginia Cavaliers Sports Blog, Streaking the Lawn: Good to see Virginia schedule a basketball series with instate rival, Virginia Commonwealth University. I’d like see Virginia Tech do the same.
- Tech Lunch Pail, an independent Virginia Tech sports blog, talks about the Hokies quarterback battle – and Justin Fuente doesn’t expect it to be settled soon. On my end, I do think the starter will be Jerod Evans.
- SB Nation’s Syracuse University Athletics Blog, Troy Nunes is An Absolute Magician (love the name of this blog), informs us that Pearl Washington will be honored during halftime of the Georgetown game (Pearl Washington died at 52 – too young to die).
- Site friend, Michael Rogner, men’s basketball blogger for the SB Nation Florida State athletics blog, Tomahawk Nation, links the college football coach at the ACC school with their basketball brethren counterpart (follow Michael on Twitter at @TN_Hoops).
And that’s it for today. Please join us again for another edition of Around the ACC Blogosphere.
