The 2015 ACC Championship Football Game is on the way to a sell out.

ACC-F

Remember a few years ago when the ACC Championship Football Game got tons of bad press for poor attendance? I’m sure you do… the $5 tickets on StubHub and the empty seats, so many empty seats. This was especially true when the game was located in Florida.

Since the game was moved to Charlotte, attendance has great improved. It has a big game atmosphere. Last year’s game between Florida State vs Georgia Tech drew the game’s best television ratings.

This year’s game looks like the toughest ticket yet for an ACC Championship. Below is a screen shot of how many tickets are still available at ticketmaster. That would be ZERO.

Head over to Stubhub, and you currently can’t find a pair for less $200.

It’s not hard to figure out why ticket sales are going so well. Clemson has already clinched the Atlantic Division and is in position to make the college football playoffs, not to mention there are tens of thousands of Clemson fans within a 5 hour drive of Charlotte. The likely Coastal Division champion is North Carolina. They would be making their first appearance in the Title game, and are currently having their best season since the late 90s.

High ratings, National Championship implications, and top 25 matchups. This looks like the 3rd straight year Charlotte will get a matchup like this.

This game has come a long way.
