What Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, and Louisville have brought to ACC.

Louisville v Purdue

After Louisville was eliminated from the NCAA baseball tournament during super regional play, it officially closed the book on the Cardinals first year in the ACC. Who knows the future, but for the time being ACC is set in it’s current configuration of teams.

I think it is a good time to look what ACC’s 4 newest additions have brought to the conference in the last 2 years.

Notre Dame

  • Added ~ $1 Million to the ACC’s media rights revenue
  • 5 game Scheduling agreement with ACC – led to Florida State vs Notre Dame which was the 2nd highest rated regular season football game in 2014.
  • Women’s Basketball team – 2014, 2015 National Runner-Up
  • Men’s Basketball team – 2015 Elite 8, Jerian Grant : consensus All-American

Syracuse

Pittsburgh

  • Added ~$ 4 Million to the ACC’s media rights revenue with their addition plus Syracuse
  • Defensive lineman Aaron Donald was a unanimous All-American, 1st round NFL pick, and multiple collegiate award winner in 2014
  • WR Tyler Boyd and RB James Conner are consensus pre-season All-Americans  for 2015

Louisville

  • Top 25 Football team in 2014
  • Men’s Basketball team – 2015 Elite 8
  • Baseball team went to Super Regionals
  • Women’s Basketball team – 2015 Sweet 16
  • 2014 NFL Draft had 10 Louisville players drafted – 2nd most by any college football program
  • Louisville/Florida State football game was one of the highest rated of the season.
