John Swofford likes to keep things close to the vest, and then all at once something happens. Discussions on an ACC Network have been quiet the last few months. The only noteworthy news about the ACC Network has been a couples of isolated comments from Swofford the last few months, that negotiations were going well with ESPN. That is until this week, when Swofford and Florida State AD Stan Wilcox made some subtle, but significant statements regarding an ACC Network.
Swofford also said that the ACC has been “quietly aggressive” in working toward an ACC television channel, similar to the SEC’s venture with ESPN that debuted this year.

There are still those that remain skeptical about an ACC Network, but it is coming. There is no doubt about that.
