This is something I’ve been wondering about. The U.S. Men’s soccer team had a great run in the World Cup. They made it out of a brutal group, and had their chances to beat Belgium Tuesday. I’m not a soccer fan. I don’t know a thing about it. I played one year of youth soccer, and it was more exhausting that anything I’ve ever played, so I have respect for the athletes that play it. I just wasn’t a big fan of the sport, but like a lot of folks I got caught up in the U.S. Men’s team World Cup performance.
I watched the last 2 games from beginning to end. They were exciting games. It’s fun to root for your country in pretty much anything, and it was hard not be impressed by the effort of U.S. team. Hat’s off to them… Will it change the way you watch sports? As many American fans gathered at watch parties, and there were record ESPN ratings, will you continue watching after the World Cup?
Honestly for me it’s like watching the Olympics. I admire these soccer athletes, but I don’t see myself watching any MLS, or any of the top European Leagues.
Will it change the way you watch sports?
