Articles from around the ACC Blogosphere January 24, 2012

Who is the hottest team in the ACC? No question it’s Florida State. The Noles go from being the hunter to being the hunted, as they face a road test at Wake Forest. Wake Forest blogger Bloggersodear previews the game with FSU blogger TomahawkNation. Wake Forest is good enough to win this game if Florida State isn’t paying attention.

Do you know what can make an 0-4 team in the ACC feel better? How about knocking off your arch rival in their house. Virginia Tech blogger GobblerCountry says payback is nice after the Hokies win at Virginia.

Here’s a story that I don’t think has gotten enough coverage this week. Tomorrow night former Maryland coach Gary Williams will have the Terrapins home court named after him. Look to me Williams is one of the all-time greats ever in the ACC. During a time in the late 90s and early 2000s when the UNC program had slid a bit, and Duke needed a challenger, Maryland became that elite team that went toe to toe with the Blue Devils. TestudoTimes calls it Gary Williams week.

Boston College fans are looking for any kind of good news. I have some for them courtesy of BCInterruption. Boston College will be the most represented college in Super Bowl XLVI.

Clemson blog ShakintheSouthland gives you a look at new Tiger DC Brent Venables by getting the inside scoop from Oklahoma Blogger Crimson and  Cream Machine. Personally I think this is a great hire. Venables has a great pedigree coming from Oklahoma.

ACCSECBlog gives his analysis of how Georgia Tech finished the 2011 football season in an interview with College Footbal Zealots. Good read there.
