Articles from around the ACC Blogosphere November 29, 2011

Rough week in the ACC… Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Wake Forest get routed by their SEC counterparts. The North Carolina basketball team loses to UNLV in a real surprise. Let’s see if the ACC bloggers have some good news for us.

The Virginia Tech Hokies are feeling pretty good after destroying in-state rival Virginia 38-0. The win gets the Hokies back to the ACCCG. GobblerCountry has the ACCCG breakdown.

Florida State took care of their in-state rival Florida 21-7. It wasn’t a prefect effort, but a win is a win, especially over a rival, that you just sent to one of their worst seasons in recent memory. TomahawkNation grades the Noles performance.

Mike London of Virginia wins the ACC Coach of the Year, and Cavalier blog StreakingtheLawn has their thoughts on it. Is it fair that Frank Beamer doesn’t win the award at 11-1? The fact is this kind of award rarely goes to a coach known for sustained excellence. Beamer had to go undefeated to have a shot. I don’t have a problem with London winning the award.

Interesting article at StateFansNation, a NC State blog, that asked where were the Wolfpack fans during the epic comeback from down 41-14 Maryland. Read the comments section.

Oh No the Tar Heels lost a basketball game, and Roy Williams is on his call in show. Let the fireworks ensue. TarheelFanblog has the write up.

The Randy Edsall debacle at Maryland just gets weirder and weirder. DL David Mackall basically went off on Edsall and the program. Thanks to TestudoTimes for that report. How Edsall destroyed a 9 win team in a matter of months is actually rather remarkable.
