Mountain West No. 3 vs. ACC No. 7
Projection: Wyoming vs. Miami

The Independence has to at least get a name team into this bowl, and I don’t mean Wyoming.

Belk Bowl
December 27, 2011  Charlotte, NC, 8:00 pm ESPN
Big East No. 3 vs. ACC No. 4
Projection: Cincinnati vs. North Carolina 

After last season’s poorly attended bowl game in Charlotte, the Belk Bowl is going to take any North Carolina team available.

Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman
December 28, 2011  Washington, DC, 4:30 pm ESPN
ACC No. 8 vs. Navy (or C-USA if Navy not eligible)
Projection: Wake Forest vs. East Carolina

The Deacs do not have easy end to the schedule. A bowl game is not assured.

Champs Sports Bowl

ACC No. 3 vs. Big East No. 2
Projection: Florida State vs. Notre Dame 

No way the Champs Sports Bowl will pass up this future ACC matchup. Yeah I said it…

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

ACC No. 6 vs. SEC No. 7
Projection: Virginia vs Vanderbilt

I think Virginia fans would come in droves to see their Cavs play in a bowl game after some lean seasons. Hometown Vanderbilt or maybe Tennessee will ensure big ticket sales.

Hyundai Sun Bowl

ACC No. 4 vs. Pac-12 No. 4
Projection: Georgia Tech vs UCLA

The Jacket’s probably deserve an East Coast bowl, but since the Sun Bowl gets the ACC’s number 4 choice they end up here. Why again is the Sun Bowl higher in the ACC bowl pecking order than the Music City or Belk Bowl held in Charlotte?

Chick-fil-A Bowl

ACC No. 2 vs. SEC No. 3, 4 or 5
Projection: Virginia Tech vs. Auburn

This would be an entertaining matchup, and obviously another sellout in the Georgia Dome.

ACC No. 1 vs. BCS at-large
Projection: Clemson vs. West Virginia

It’s a shame we won’t get to see 12-1 Clemson play an elite team.
