Boston College Loses One of The Two Games I Thought Eagles Would Win

Good afternoon, Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) sports fans.

Boston College was already on thin ice this year – as its 2022 starting quarterback from the 2022 season transferred to Pittsburgh.

In our ACC football predictions, the panelists had the Boston College Eagles anywhere from 2-10 (that’s me) to @treadmillhorse who had the Eagles at 7-5.  I’m sure both of us thought that the Northern Illinois game would be one of the wins for the Eagles.  In fact, I think most of our panelists thought Boston College would defeat Northern Illinois.

That was not the case today.  Northern Illinois dominated this game for three quarters – and it took two Boston College fourth quarter drives to tie the game up.  Northern Illinois ended up winning this game in overtime.

Our friend, @AJBlack247, said that this was game was huge for the future of Boston College football – and he’s right.

Welcome to the hot seat, Jeff Hafely – you officially have the hottest Power Five coaching seat in the country.
