Well, here we go. It’s time to start ranking the best players in the ACC for the 2023 season.
As usual, we hope you enjoy the rankings.
Previous and Upcoming Rankings
Quarterbacks | Running Backs | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends |
Defensive Linemen | Linebackers | Cornerbacks | Safeties | Special Teams
1) Graham Barton, Duke
In the most recent NFL draft, Duke didn’t have any NFL draft picks. Offensive Lineman Graham Barton will change all that. He is one of the country’s best tackles and would have been a certain NFL pick last season. Going into this season, Barton has dotted several All-American teams and is a possible first-round NFL selection.
2) Christian Mahogany, Boston College
Last year, we had Christian Mahogany of Boston College among our top 5 offensive linemen in the ACC. Mahogany suffered a torn ACL before last season started. There is always a question about returning from injury, but if he’s back to near 100% he’s one of the best offensive linemen in all of college football.
He has the potential to be a first or second-NFL pick.
3) Bryan Hudson, Louisville
Louisville’s Bryan Hudson has appeared on multiple pre-season All-ACC teams. He was a 2nd team All-ACC center last season, and if he stays healthy, he’s a good bet for 1st team this year. He’s a versatile lineman, that has played all three offensive line positions and is a star on the Louisville track and field team as a shot putter.
4) Matt Goncalves, Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh has put out the most NFL talent in the ACC in the last few years. Could offensive lineman Matt Goncalves be another draftable Pittsburgh Panther? Goncalves was a 3rd team All-ACC pick last year and made the All-ACC Academic team. He’s considered an NFL draft pick that could go as early as the 3rd round.
5) Robert Scott, Florida State
Robert Scott is coming off 2022 which saw him land on All-ACC 2nd team. He’s a top-notch run blocker. There is all kinds of talent across Florida State’s offense, and Scott is the anchor of a solid offensive line.
At the moment he’s a late day 2 or day 3 NFL pick.
