With a new quarterback under center for the Pitt Panthers the usually over-surprising program should make some noise in the ACC in 2023 with Phil Jurkovec under center.
Jurkovec transferred into the Pitt program from Boston College and should have better success this year with the Panthers than he did last year with the Eagles where it seemed he was sacked or at least pressured on every dropback. The offensive line is something that is better with Pitt than it is with Boston College.

Pitt could easily make noise in the ACC this year, but with this prediction, they lose two games inside the conference which would eliminate them from the ACC Championship Game against the Clemson Tigers. As of right now, I have Pitt going (9-3, 6-2) in 2023. They start off hot with a 3-0 record but lose their first ACC game against North Carolina before pulling out a hard-fought win over the Hokies to start another modest three-game winning streak before falling to Notre Dame and FSU in back-to-back weeks.
